Mary Martha Flores

Born on December 15, 1943, in El Paso, Texas, Mary lived a life marked by love, kindness, and devotion to her family and friends. She was known for her sense of humor, strength, generosity, compassion, and especially her faith. She touched the lives of many through her caring nature and unwavering support.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, godmother, and friend. Throughout her life she enjoyed crafting, dancing, listening to music, gardening, watching football, cooking, baking cakes for special occasions, and making her special chile, and enchiladas.

She is survived by her children Yvette Olivas (Rodney✝), Reuben Gutierrez (Brandi), Michelle Avila (Art), Veronica Contreras (Marco), her stepdaughters Cynthia Flores (Frank) and Lydia Erivez (Arturo), her brothers and sisters Josefina Sermeño (Carlos ✝), Irma Juarez (Chuy✝), David Borrego (Alice), Chris Borrego (Tracy), Connie Gonzales (Robert), and Sandy Ybarra (Sam); brother-in-law Chuy Alvidrez and sister-in-law Rosie Borrego. She is also survived by her grandchildren Nikolas Flores, Matthew Olivas, Aaryn and Abygail Avila, Jacqueline and Antonio Contreras, Rebecca Erivez-Partida , Selina Erivez Marquez, and Samantha Erivez, as well as all her nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Genaro Flores; her parents Vidal and Josefina Borrego; her siblings Rosemarie Juarez, Emma Alvidrez, and Vidal Borrego Jr.

Those who knew Mary (Martha) will remember her for her warm smile, and the lasting impact she made on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitation for Mary Martha will be Wednesday, June 10, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm at Crestview Funeral Home, 1462 N Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas, 79936. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 11:00 am at St Stephen Deacon and Martyr Catholic Church, 1700 George Dieter Dr, El Paso, Texas, 79936. Rite of Committal will follow at Mt Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas, 79907.

Pallbearers will be Reuben Gutierrez, Chuy Alvidrez, Chris Borrego, Danny Juarez Jr, Art Avila, and Nikolas Flores.
