Mary was born in Canutillo, TX on November 28, 1936, to Joaquin and Francisca Hernandez. She is survived by her husband Pedro Mendoza, Sr., sons Peter (Gina), David (Barbara), and Michael (Lourdes), sisters Helen Hernandez, Angie Villalobos, brother Joe Hernandez, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She has been greeted in heaven by her parents, a sister, and two brothers.
Mary was retired from the El Paso School District after having worked for 20+ years. She loved attending church and was actively involved with the prayer group. Mary had an adventurous spirit, she enjoyed gardening, traveling, bird watching, and family gatherings.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 12, from 9-11am, with the Rosary to follow at Martin Funeral Home, 128 N Resler Dr. Mass will be at Saint Jude Catholic Church, 4006 Hidden Way, at 1:00pm, and burial to follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 4900 McNutt Rd, Santa Teresa, NM.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to Saint Jude Catholic Church, 4006 Hidden Way, in her name.
