

Mary was born in Green Camp, Ohio, on November 6, 1913. At the age of five, she moved with her family to Texas where her father was employed by Humble Pipeline which later became Exxon-Mobile. She lived all over West Texas and later graduated from Big Spring High School. She attended the University of Texas at Austin until she married the love of her life, Samuel Clyde (Coach) Park in 1933. They lived in Fort Stockton, Texas for 23 years and moved to El Paso in 1956.
Mary was an extremely talented artist with a specialty in porcelain painting. Later she worked in oils, charcoal, and water color. Her art has been sold worldwide.
Her family was the most important aspect of her life and she loved all of her friends dearly. One of her favorite activities was playing bridge with her friends on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Samuel Clyde Park, her parents, Irwin and Edna Pettey, her son-in-law Ronald E. Gubis, her sister Fern Rice, and niece Judy Edwards.
She is survived by her daughter Dinah Gubis, granddaughters Kimberli Jimerson (James) and Kelly Gubis, and her great granddaughters Kristen and Kathryn Jimerson.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Trinity-First United Methodist Church, 801 N. Mesa St. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery, 4900 McNutt Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity-First United Methodist Church, Animal Rescue of El Paso, or Global Hospice.
