Micaela Vasquez

Micaela Vasquez, age 87, loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, great-aunt, friend and mentor passed away April 4, 2024. She had an invincible spirit and overcame life’s challenges by focusing on the positive. She shared her love selflessly.

Micaela was born on September 29, 1936, to Eustacio Vasquez and Eufemia Hurtado Vasquez in Cd. Juarez, Chih. Mexico. She is survived by her children: Luz Elena Smith, Norma E. Taylor, and Marco A. Lujan; sons-in-law Charles Smith and Jeffrey Taylor; daughter-in-law Margarita Castrellon; grandchildren: Estela Tirado (Luis Tirado), Zachary and Eric Taylor, Mercedes and Marquiann Lujan, Ayleen Zazueta (Joseph Driscoll), and Asia Lujan; great-grandchildren: Leon Driscoll and Celeste Tirado; siblings: Maria Inez Ramirez, Ana Maria Vasquez, Marina Nunez, Angelina Chiong and Jesus Vasquez; many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family and great friends who will greatly miss her.

Visitation will take place Monday, April 15th from 10:00am-12:30pm at Funeraria del Angel Restlawn, 8817 Dyer, El Paso, Texas 79904, with Funeral Service at 12:30pm. Graveside Service will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 8700 Dyer St., El Paso, Texas 79904.
