Mickey was born on October 29, 1933 and was an El Paso native. Mickey, a retired
truck driver, enjoyed masonry, woodworking and gardening for his family and friends.
The Washington Redskins football team was his pride and he wore their colors proudly.
What mattered most to Mickey was his love of family.
He is survived by his lovely wife of 68 years, Irene, his ten children, Virginia (George) Perez, Joann (Robert) Valenzuela, Mike (Rachel) Forti,Betsy (David) Acuna, Dino Forti, Lisa (Leo) Rocha, Roseann (Chuck)Schilz, Mark (Sandra) Forti, Irene (Randall) Barnes, Eugene (Marta) Forti, 26
grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and his brother Victor Forti.
He is preceded in death by his father Eugenio L. Forti, mother Elisa Forti, his brothers Leonel Forti, Felipe
Forti, sisters Virginia Varela, Beatrice Jordan, grand daughter Jacqueline Valenzuela
and daughter-in-law Alicia Forti.
Memories of his tall stories and jokes which he would share with his children and
grandchildren will always bring smiles to our faces. He was the Rock of the family and
will be greatly missed but never forgotten. We love you Dad and know you are resting.
