Rev. Dr. Milton M. Walker

Reverend Dr. Milton M. Walker, affectionately called by his family, “Cool Papa, or Grandpa” was promoted to the Church Triumphant on July 31, 2021 leaving the cares of this world behind. He is preceded in death by his wife Audrey M. Walker and daughter, Joyce A. Jenkins.

Rev. Dr. Walker was born to the late Rev. Sampson & Bessie Walker. Devoted to church, family, sports, and reading he has made an impact that will continue to be felt throughout the world. After growing up in Portsmouth, Virginia serving alongside his father as the ice man he later joined the U.S. Army. While serving our nation, he became active in Community Baptist Church serving as associate minister, assistant pastor, and ultimately retiring after 35 years of service as the Senior Pastor & Teacher.

The life celebration services will take place August 13-16, 2021. Further details will be announced later and schedule will be posted on the church’s website as well as the Hillcrest’s Funeral Home.
