Heaven gained a very special angel when Minerva Morales left this life on June 16, 2025 to join our son Daniel. Minerva was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and dedicated teacher who loved all children. Minerva is predeceased by her father Christopher Medina, father-in-law Francisco A. Morales, brother-in-law David Morales and cherished son Daniel J. Morales.
Left to treasure her memory are her loving husband Francisco J. Morales, son Christopher D. (Claudia), daughter Amanda M. (Ernie), mother Eduvina A. Medina, brother Charles (Ellie), mother-in-law Josefina Morales and her precious grandchildren that she so loved “to the moon and back,” Hailey Michelle, Sebastian Alejandro, Heather Isabella, Hollie Liberty Grace, Hannah Beatrize, Leilani Hope, Danika Jaqueline, Dominik Jason, Daniella Julissa and Desiree Jordan. She also leaves many relatives and friends who will miss her immensely.
Minerva was born March 2,1958 and as a daughter and sister was loving, kind, humorous and always helping. Minerva attended Holy Family Catholic Parochial School, Rusk Elementary, Bassett Middle, and Austin High School, where she was involved in Delta Chi and Pan American Club, as well as the yearbook and newspaper staff. She graduated in 1976 from Austin High School. After graduation, she worked in office settings at various businesses until she enrolled at the University of Texas at El Paso, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education.
Minerva was hired by the El Paso Independent School District and taught at Crockett, Bliss and Tom Lea Elementary Schools, and Cordova Middle School. She served as student activities manager at Burges High School. Minerva gave one hundred percent to every position she held, meeting challenges unique to each school. She was a devoted educator whose legacy will live on through the children she served in her years as a teacher and mentor.

A visitation for Minerva will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home East, 1460 George Dieter Drive, El Paso, TX 79936. A funeral service will occur Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Martin Funeral Home East.
