Miriam Sifuentes

Miriam Sifuentes, 66 of El Paso Texas, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on April 29, 2025, with her daughter and closest family at her side. Miriam was born in El Paso, Texas, the daughter of Maria Gracia De Los Santos and Jesus Jose Sifuentes. Miriam graduated from Irving high school in 1977, and went on to eventually graduate from The University of Texas El Paso in 1990 with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Miriam served the San Diego, California and El Paso regions as both an ICU and Labor and Delivery Nurse, in both roles her care and devotion to not only her patients but to her coworkers continues to be seen and felt by many. While never married, Miriam did have one child, Isabella Grace Sifuentes, whom she loved very much. Miriam was a member of the Westside Church of Christ, where she attended and served for over 20 years. Miriam also enjoyed reading, learning new things, and spending time with her friends and family. Remaining to cherish Miriam’s memory are her daughter Isabella Grace Sifuentes, her siblings Peggy and Jesse Jaime, Rosa and Vincent Engling, Carlos Sifuentes, Heriberto and Alicia Sifuentes, Jose and Dorothy Sifuentes, Celia Longoria and Garrett Gumbinner, Ramon and Tina Sifuentes, Grace Cervantes, Raymundo and Denise Sifuentes, and Maria Sifuentes. She was preceded in death and greeted in heaven by her parents Maria and Jesus Sifuentes, and her brothers Jesus Sifuentes and Ricco Cervantes.

A come-and-go Celebration of Life will be held on May 7th from 3 to 7pm at Martin Funeral Home, 128 Resler, El Paso, Texas 79912. In lieu of flowers, please bring any photos or memories you would like to share and let Miriam’s daughter, Isabella, hold on to. If interested in a donation, please talk to Isabella.
