Myrna Ontiveros

Myrna Ontiveros was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter aunt and friend. She left this world peacefully on July 6, 2021 at age 70, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born to Christina and Jose A. Legarreta Sr. on July 4, 1951 in El Paso, Texas.

Myrna is survived by her husband and companion of 49 years, Raul Ontiveros; son Richard Ontiveros wife Teresa; brothers Jose A. Legarreta Jr. wife Betty, Jimmy Legarreta, and sister Christy Legarreta.

She is preceded in death by her loving and devoted parents, Christina and Jose A. Legarreta, Sr.

Baking was her passion and baking in her kitchen is where Myrna found comfort and joy. Rainy days always seemed to draw her to her pans and mixer, as all those that she loved benefitted from her delicious cookies, empanadas and cakes. She shared her skill and love of baking with her nieces Arianna and Arissa Meza.

Myrna will be dearly missed by her family and friends and those who knew her best know that she is at peace now with our Heavenly Father.

Rosary and Memorial Mass celebrating Myrna’s life will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church.
