I have just learned of Nancy’s passing. My deepest condolences to her family and friends. I met Nancy and she became my dog sitter. She was very much a lovely lady. She will be missed.

I will miss our two hour telephone conversations.  I will miss the surprise birthday gifts you would leave at my door. I will miss our going out to eat. But the thing I am most sure of , when God said come home my child, you were not dead. I texted my daughters, today Nancy is in Paradise.  It is with mixed feelings I think about you, sad but happy. I can't imagine how glorious you life is now.

Miss Nancy, was my mentor, she made sure I went to church and learnt something new. A friend, she was there for me every time we had good days and sad moments, she was my family, her encouragement made me work hard at everything I do. She was my sons god mom, we have so many beautiful memories of her work in kids church , she made sure my son and his friends attended church events. I can say a lot about Miss Nancy, she was a mom to me and my family in all beautiful ways, she taught me a lot on Christianity and life itself. She was selfless, always helping others, she would pray with me every time we talk even on phone. I miss her, It hurts that she is gone ,I’m comforted by her life in Christ it assures me she is in heaven with our father. Rest In Peace Miss Nancy, I will always love you. 

We met Nancy at Harvest Christian Centre back in the days.  A beautiful smile met you with a “Hi” and a smile on the going out too.  You’ll be missed here on earth but you’ll welcome us in Glory Nancy.  See you soon on the streets of gold!

   My family and I met Nancy at Harvest Christian Center when God led us to El Paso in 1994.  Nancy worked in the office when my husband, Ken, became one of the Associate Pastors.  She was always so sweet and encouraging to everyone.  That is how I will always remember her: as an encourager.   She spent countless hours typing pages for Pastor Ken as he worked on various projects but especially on  the writing  and editing of a discipleship program and manual that the Holy Spirit put on his heart.  She was a huge part of helping with and encouraging him in that very large project.
    After Ken  went to his heavenly home, Nancy made it a point to see how I and each of our children (and then grandchildren) was doing from time to time.  Two summers ago when I was asked to speak at a  weekend women's retreat, Nancy heard about it from a mutual friend and made plans to be there.  Always the encourager, she was such a blessing.  Nancy and Anita Armagnac, and Norma Alarcon all came to cheer me on, and I felt the prayers  of  my own personal prayer team every time I spoke.  I will never forget that special time of friendship.  That is another way I will always remember Nancy:  as a friend!  You have probably already hugged my Ken, Nancy.   I will see you both as soon as the Lord tells me, as he told you,  "it is time."    Love always, my friend!

I meet Nancy at El Paso Electric.  When I was going through a divorce, I mentioned that I was looking for an apartment.  A few days later, she let me know there was a vacancy at her complex.  That afternoon, I made an appointment to see the apartment.  The rent was reasonable and something I could afford.  Once I settled in, every Friday Nancy would invite me to her house for dinner and card games.  Her mom was also in attendance.  We had so much fun.  I will forever be grateful to Nancy and her mom for helping me through a very difficult time in my life.  She also made the best pumpkin roll in the world.  Love you Nancy.  I can see you in God’s presence with that beautiful smile of yours!!!

Back in January 1993, I met Nancy as a young teenager at a new church plant, Harvest, down the street of my grandmother's street.  She worked  with the youth back then and was so noticeably caring and thoughtful. I got to know her more and more as I begin working at that same church years later. 
She was her sweet self day in and day out, regardless of my blunders and shenanigans as a young man cutting my teeth in ministry and in life itself.  She was a prayer warrior and a great example of how to be FULLY dependent on our Heavenly Father.  I'll never forget the time she enlightened me when I was first starting to work with folks on the streets. It appeared to Nancy I was giving more than I had means to do so once and she said "you know Peter, people can eat pretty good out of an American dumpster if they really wanted. Here we have plenty,.... and lots of programs.  But in some other parts of the world, they don't have so many opportunities."  
We would talk about missionaries and the advancement of the gospel in the unreached parts of the globe often.  She cared and showed genuine concern for my family as I was growing up, and again once when the Lord blessed me with my own.  Always... ALWAYS an encouragement to me to keep spurring both Rebekah and I on in the faith! 

Thank you Father for the example and encouragement my sister has been to me and so many in the kingdom. Thank you for watching over her as her Good Shepherd! 

I was 5 years old, a scared little girl, in a new church. Nancy welcomed me into her Sunday school class at Harvest Christian Center. She was one of the first ones to tell me about God. Her welcoming presence and sweet smile will always remain fresh on my memory. Because of her influence, I continued to grow my relationship with God. She will be missed greatly. 

Such an amazing person. Enjoyed the time taking with you about life! RIP Nancy, be with the Lord and live prosperous in his presence. Love you!

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Nancy.  She was such a gem. I will never forget the beautiful words of encouragement she spoke over me.  She will be greatly missed! God will comfort those who mourn. His loving arms will surround you!


Nancy Gibboney was truly wonderful  woman. She loved and cared with a big heart. She loved Jesus and there is no doubt she is sitting at her fathers feet this very moment. She was dedicated and always smiled with a cheerful smile. 
She always made us the best pumpkin rolls every Christmas while we lived close. Nancy, your memory will continue on in our hearts and we rejoice with you as you enter your eternal reward!! I know that you have stored up many treasures in heaven ❤️
