Norman married Lillian Mary Wheeler July 20, 1962, beginning a partnership that spanned more than six decades and was marked by travel, shared adventures, and the quiet joys of a life built together. Early in his career, Norman worked for NCR in Beirut, Lebanon, where he and Lillian welcomed their son. They later
immigrated to the United States in pursuit of greater opportunities in aviation—a decision that would shape the remainder of Norman’s professional life. It was there that they welcomed their daughter.
Norman served as a corporate pilot for El Paso Natural Gas, a role that reflected his exceptional skill, discipline, and lifelong passion for flying—his true “happy place.” He was known for his precision in the cockpit, consistently strong performance, and unwavering professionalism. His confidence and attention to detail earned the respect of colleagues and fellow aviators alike.
Beyond aviation, Norman found joy and peace in many pursuits. He loved sailing, observing the night sky through his telescopes, watching birds, and riding his motorcycle. Whether gazing at the stars or exploring the open road, he had a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world around him.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lillian; his son, Craig, his wife Ana, and their son Andrew; his daughter, Michelle, and her husband Joe; his sister, Jean O’Higgins; and his brother, Eddie Breedon; and several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Norman’s legacy is one of dedication, adventure, and love. He lived with quiet confidence, a strong work ethic, and a genuine curiosity about the world—from the skies he navigated to the simple pleasures he cherished at home. His family carries forward the values he embodied and the love he shared so generously.
