Omar Alvarez, 45, passed away on July 25, 2026. He was born on April 10, 1981. Omar will be remembered as a beloved presence in the lives of those who knew him, and for a kind-hearted spirit that was felt in quiet, meaningful ways and in the care he showed to others.
He is survived by his daughter, Jaquelin Alejandra Alvarez; his mother, Silva Alvarez; his sister, Christina Alvarez; his brother, Luis Alvarez; and his sister, Rosa Alvares. He was preceded in death by his father, Remedios Alvarez who passed away on May 19, 2025.
Visitation will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915, on August 13, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Iglesia La Hora Salvacion Church , 323 Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915, on August 14, 2026, at 10:30 am.
