Panfila García nació en San Pedro Ocotlán, Zacatecas y quedó huérfana a 1 año de edad. Emigró a los Estados Unidos como en 1973 con 7 hijos, a quienes sacó adelante como padre y madre. Les enseño a trabajar desde temprana edad, llevándolos al campo por varios años, enseñándoles a ser responsables y buenos trabajadores. Ella trabajó adornando zapatos, haciendo y vendiendo diferentes comidas, lavando ropa, limpiando casas, en una tortilleria, en el campo, y en fábricas de costura.
Tuvo la oportunidad de ahorrar dinero y comprar su propia casa, donde ayudo a mucha gente dándoles hospedaje sin recibir o esperar nada a cambio. Ella tocó las vidas de muchas personas, ayudándoles en tiempo de necesidad.
Siempre dio amor incondicional a su familia, amigos y conocidos. Siempre dio buenos consejos a sus hijos en todas las áreas de la vida, y a que se amaran y fueran unidos en toda circunstancia. También enseñó a sus hijos a amar a Dios por sobre todas las cosas y siempre tener fe en El. Uno de sus versos favoritos de la biblia fue “Mas buscad primeramente el reino de Dios y su justicia, y todas estas cosas os serán añadidas” Mateo 6:33.
Ella fue una madre ejemplar, y el pilar de toda su familia. El amor inmenso que ella mostró a toda su familia fue un amor incondicional, y ahora ese amor es correspondido en los corazones de toda su descendencia.
A ella le gustaba tejer, cocer, cocinar, y viajar. Tambien tenia un buen sentido de humor, fue muy generosa, fuerte, y siempre muy responsable. Ella sacrifico su vida para sacar adelante a su familia. Dejo un bello y profundo legado en cada uno de sus seres amados, y siempre dandole honra y gloria a Dios.
Panfila Garcia was born in San Pedro Ocotlan, Zacatecas and was orphaned at the age of 1. She immigrated to the U.S. in 1973 with 7 children, whom she raised as a single mother. She taught her children to work at an early age, taking them to work in the fields for several years, and teaching them to be responsible and hard workers. She worked in different areas, including the shoe industry, making and selling different foods, washing clothes, cleaning houses, a tortilla factory, the fields, and garment factories.
She had the opportunity to save money and buy her own home, where she helped a lot of people by giving them food and shelter without expecting anything in return. She touched the lives of many during times of hardship.
Panfila always gave her family, friends, and acquaintances an unconditional love. She always gave good advice to her children in all areas of life, and showed them to love each other and stay united under all circumstances. She taught her children to love God above all things, and to always have faith in Him. One of her favorite bible verses was Matthew 6:33, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well”.
She was an exemplary mother and a pillar of her entire family. The immense love she showed her whole family was unconditional, and now that love is reciprocated in the hearts of all her descendants.
Panfila’s hobbies included knitting, sewing, cooking, and traveling. She also had a good sense of humor, was very generous, strong, and very responsible. She sacrificed her life to support her family. She leaves a beautiful and profound legacy in the hearts of her loved ones, and always giving all honor and glory to God.
Panfila dejó sus hijos Alejandro Alvarez (Maria De Los Angeles), Marcos Alvarez (Beatriz), Martina Rodas (Jorge), Clementina Moreno (Jose Enrique), Martha Gasper (Gerardo), Rita Alvarez y Maria Luisa Trevizo; su hermana Octaviana Alvarado Padua.
Panfila falleció después de su esposo Edmundo Alvarez Gonzalez; su hijo Felix Rivera, y Edmundo Alvarez; su hermana Sixta Alvarado Padua; sus nietos Alexandra Álvarez y Fernando Moreno; su nuera Mercedes Aguilar-Olea y su yerno Armando Trevizo.
Panfila también deja 20 nietos, 35 bisnietos y 7 tataranietos para apreciar su memoria.

El sepelio se llevará a cabo el miércoles, 9 de abril 2025 a las 11:30 a. m. en Mt Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79907.
