Panfilo Z. Guzman

Panfilo Guzman, age 89, lost his battle with heart disease on 07/20/2018. His name Panfilo means, "friend to all” and Guzman means “a good Man”. So a good man has gone home to join his loving wife and many other loved ones in paradise. He is survived by his daughters Doris Ochoa (Richard), Yolanda Vasquez (Roman), and Leti Guzman-Soydan (Haluk Soydan). He has three granddaughters, Sonia Contreras (Frank), Vanessa Vasquez- Perez (Richard Perez) and Laura Rodriguez (Daniel). He also had 7 great-grandchildren: Marcos Contreras, Bianca Abidali Contreras, Yesenia Rodriguez, Lorenzo Rodriguez, Sophia Rodriguez, Nicolas Perez & Isael Perez. He had a very special place in his heart for his niece Sylvia Aceves who was like a daughter to him. He is also survived by multiple friends & family members as he was a well-known man. Visitation will be held Friday, July 27, 2018 from 5-8pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, with a vigil at 7pm. Funeral mass will be Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 9:30am at St. Paul Catholic Church, 7424 Mimosa Avenue. Committal service and interment will follow at 10:30am at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 South Zaragoza Road.
