Patsy Lou (Pat) Perdue Tanner went to be with the Lord on December 6, 2025, at 91 years young, peacefully in her sleep at her home in Canutillo, TX. Pat was born May 17, 1934, in Knox City, TX. She graduated from high school in Morgan City, LA after growing up in Haskell, TX. On August 26, 1966, Pat married Leonard Richard Tanner in Raymondville, TX and just a short time later moved their family to El Paso, TX.
In August 1973, Pat professed her faith to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at First Church of God–Anderson in Harlingen, TX. She loved serving Him through Women’s Ministry and was a lifetime member of the NM-WT Christian Women Connection.
Pat was an artist and enjoyed painting flowers and desert landscaping. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling and trying out different kinds of food. Her life’s passion and greatest joy was being a wife, a mama, a gram and a grammie. Pat loved loudly and unconditionally. She was a beloved friend who brought warmth, laughter, light and kindness to the world.
Pat is preceded in death by her husband Leonard Richard Tanner; son Richard Paul Cooksey; father Theodore Paul Perdue Sr.; mother Jewel Perdue; brother Theodore Paul (Curly) Perdue Jr.; sister Cleo King Perdue Ashley; and son-in-love Robert Charles Conley Sr.
Pat is survived by her fur baby Osa; daughter Sabrina Conley of El Paso, TX; daughter Saranda (Lenny) Beck of Canutillo, TX; son Brent (Julie) Lauderdale of Chandler, TX; honorary son John (Laurie) Hurst of El Paso, TX; stepson George Leonard (Carmen) Tanner of Harlingen, TX; sixteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Pat’s family would like to thank Dr. Alfonso Chavez and his staff for their love, care and compassion. Special thanks to these amazing ladies, Mary and Xochitl from Remarkable Hospice and Victoria and Monica from Caring Companions. You brought joy to each day with your gentleness, compassion and companionship. We are forever grateful.
Visitation will be held December 29, 2025, at 10:00am followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:30am at Martin Funeral Home West in El Paso, TX. Committal Service will be held at 1:30pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
