Gracias por tantos lindos momentos que pasamos juntas. Siempre me voy a acordar de las navidades que pasamos juntos en su casa abriendo regalos y usted siempre regañando a mi papa por sus locuras! Usted fue una gran mujer y buena abuelita conmigo y con mi hermana! Usted ya es un angelito mas que tengo en el cielo! La voy a extrañar mucho pero se que siempre estará cuidando me desde arriba. Querida tía, tu partida nos provoca una profunda tristeza y el saber que no estarás más para todos nosotros gran dolor pero tú recuerdo siempre nos hará sonreír.

My heart has been filled with grief since the day I heard of your passing. I will forever cherish the memories we had together, especially the one of you sitting by my bedside and patiently teaching me the sign of the cross as a young boy. Thank you for your  unconditional love I will miss you greatly.

Mom, I have an empty space in my heart since the moment I received the news that you had passed. I am consoled knowing that you fell asleep & had no suffering as our lord greeted & guided you by your hand to heaven to eternal peace. My most cherished childhood memories took place at my grandparents’ home; Grandma was at the center of each of these memories. Her innate ability to understand me and my emotions before I ever would make her passing the hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with.  Her unequivocal catholic faith was the greatest gift. Sitting beside her in her bedroom as she quietly prayed and recited verse after verse brought me comfort. It is this memory that  comforts me now…. Just as she knew it would.

Words cannot express the sadness, sorrow and emptiness I have felt since your passing. My only comfort is in the fact that I shall see you again, 1Thes 4:14-16. I am greatly appreciative for your love, teachings, patients and your willingness to assume whatever role I needed you become to always nurture and support me. I will truly miss you.
