Ralph G. Miranda, age 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 10-22-24 at Providence Memorial Hospital in El Paso, Texas. He was born on 8-14-38 to Jose and Carmen Miranda in El Paso. He graduated from Austin High School and then went on to earn a business degree at the University of Texas at El Paso. In 1962, he enlisted into the army and served in the Military Police Corps, Judge Advocate General Corps, and as a chief of foreign claims during a tour in Vietnam. He attended law school in San Francisco, California and went into private practice in El Paso, in the 1980s. He was not only a lawyer, but a businessman who had businesses in real estate and farming. He enjoyed being busy with his work and continued working until he became ill. He was very generous and always helped those in need. He had a dry sense of humor which made all of us laugh. Ralph will be buried with his wife Patty Miranda who passed away on January 5, 2023. Patty was a devoted wife and mother who always made sure everyone was fed. She loved to cook and whistle while she worked. Patty was born and attended high school in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She worked in a variety of military jobs, and for the Drug Enforcement Agency in El Paso, Texas. Ralph and Patty are survived by their daughters, Teri Rosen and Kathryn Herrera, many nieces and nephews, and grandchildren Brenden Rosen, Alek Rosen, Joel Rosen, Lauryn Rosen, Noah Renteria, Elijah Renteria, Carly Renteria, and Jeremiah Renteria. They also have a grandchild on the way, Matthew Herrera, who will learn of his grandparents through the sharing of great memories.
