March 22, 1981 – February 6, 2026
Ramon “Ray Ray” Balderrama passed away on February 6, 2026, at the age of 44, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. He faced his illness with remarkable strength, grit, and determination, embodying the resilience that defined his life.
Ray lived for adventure and embraced every opportunity to try something new. He found peace in nature—especially in the mountains and by the ocean—and loved spending time fishing. A gifted athlete and fierce competitor, Ray felt most at home on the softball field. To him, the game was more than competition; it was a brotherhood and a lifelong passion.
Above all, Ray was a loving father, devoted son, and proud brother. He was supported throughout his journey by his loving partner, Krishna, who was his constant source of strength. His father, Jose Ruben Balderrama, remained faithfully by his side, and he was surrounded by his brothers and sisters in his final moments.
Ray was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Alicia Balderrama, and his baby girl, Brooklyn Love Balderrama.
He is survived by his father, Jose Ruben Balderrama; his sons, Jordan and Sonny Balderrama; his daughter, Santana Raye Balderrama; his brothers, Ruben and Rene Balderrama; his brother-in-law, Vance Belyeu; his sisters, Valerie B. Belyeu, April Balderrama, and Crystal Balderrama; his nieces, Jazmin, Alicia, Amaya, and Abby Rae; his nephews, Felix, Joseph, Vance II, Jaxon, and Memphys; as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Ray was loved deeply and will be missed beyond words. We find comfort knowing he is now with our Heavenly Father, reunited with loved ones, and finally free from pain. He fought to the very end—just like the warrior he always was.
Forever missed. Forever loved.
The field was where his heart felt at home—
a brotherhood he cherished and a love for the game that never left him.
Until we meet again.
Swing away Pops.
