Reyes is survived by his son Albert Vincent Fierro (Andrea); and his son Gilbert Ray Fierro (Belen); his brother Joe Fierro and his sister Juanita F. Hernandez. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Alec S. Fierro, Bethany A. Fierro, Alyssa R. Fierro, and Isabella B. Fierro. Reyes was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 50 years, Alicia G. Fierro. Reyes’ life was a testimony to his devotion to God, country and family. He was an altar boy at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, served in the NAVY during the Vietnam war, a Master electrician, a graduate from Bowie High School and UTEP’s College of Business Administration, an El Paso City Electrical Inspector, the Socorro City Planning Director, the Socorro City Manager, as well as the National Electrical Code instructor for over four decades at the El Paso Community College.
A visitation for Reyes will be held Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the Rosary at 7:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A funeral mass will occur Friday, January 20, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St Ignatius Catholic Church, 408 Park St, El Paso, Texas 79936. A graveside service will follow Friday, January 20, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79907.
