On Tuesday, March 10, 2020, Rick McCarter, loving husband and father passed away at the age 55.
Rick was born on March 5, 1965, in El Paso, Texas. He graduated from Ysleta High School in 1983, where he was an accomplished baseball player and was recognized for his outstanding skills as the team pitcher.
He later became a successful businessman continuing the family business, Merrill Bail Bonds, and also pursued a career in private investigations, opening a business of his own.
On February 14, 1988, he married the love of his life, Diana. They met at the young age of 15 and were married for 32 years, together they raised their only daughter, Samantha.
Rick was a proud grandfather of two precious little girls, Gia and Mila. He cherished his time with them, and they were the light of his life as he would say.
The things Rick enjoyed most were listening to music, going shooting, hunting, fishing, taking trips to Ruidoso, going out to dinner, and spending time with his granddaughters. He was known for quick wit and immense knowledge. Rick was also known for his compassion and kind spirit; he was a type of person that would do anything for anyone.
Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy McCarter. He is survived by his wife, Diana, daughter, Samantha, son-in-law, Luis, his father, Tom, his brother, Michael, grandchildren, Gia and Mila, and several nieces and nephews, and other very close family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Crestview Funeral Home on Monday, March 16, 2020, at 6pm
