Richard Rosillo

Joe Richard Rosillo passed away on Friday, Nov 24, 2023 at the age of 90. Richard was born on July 28, 1933 in El Paso, TX, and loved his hometown and UTEP Miners. He enjoyed woodworking, working on cars, and was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. Richard was dedicated to his family and beloved by them all.

Richard graduated from Austin High School and joined the U.S. Army in 1953, serving with the 7th Army in Stuttgart, Germany. After his military service, he returned to El Paso and married his devoted wife of 67 years, Lydia Pedroza. Richard had a long and successful career in auto parts sales, working 30 years for Big A Auto parts and finishing his career with Bumper to Bumper in 2006.

Richard is survived by his loving wife Lydia; his daughter Ysela Beatrice and husband Roy of Ft. Worth, TX; his son Fernando Rosillo and wife Rachael of Ruidoso, New Mexico; his grandsons David Beatrice and wife Joni of El Paso, TX; Steven Beatrice and wife Alicia of Ft. Worth, TX; Alex Rosillo of Ruidoso, NM; great grandchildren Paige Beatrice and Maxwell Beatrice and many nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents Jose Lutiro Rosillo and Elsia Ramires Rosillo and his sisters Carmen Ortiz, Olga Jordan, and Mary Vallejo.

A visitation for Richard will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A prayer service will occur Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A committal service will occur Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, Fort Bliss, Texas 79906.
