Richard Simmons, 55, returned to his heavenly home December 14, 2017, after a valiant battle with Huntington’s Disease. Richard honorably served his country in the US Navy for 12 years. He was an avid Denver Broncos and NASCAR fan. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife Iris Lopez Simmons, brothers Mike, Bobby and Gregg Simmons, in-laws Alex and Yolanda Lopez and his loving care aunt Iris Marquez. He was preceded in death by his mother Maria Kolb Simmons and sister Cindy Simmons. All services will be held at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 8011 Williamette, on Friday, December 29, 2017 with visitation at 10:30am, rosary at 11:30am and mass at 12:30pm. Burial to follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
