Born on February 2, 1993, in El Paso, Texas, to Romelia Martinez, Rob was a true visionary and entrepreneur at heart. He was driven by a passion for turning his dreams into reality—starting with Hot Box Smoke Shop, which quickly became one of the city’s most recognized and loved businesses. He later stepped into the entertainment world, creating Rookies Sports Cantina, which grew into one of El Paso’s favorite local spots.
Among his greatest accomplishments, Rob was most proud of becoming a father to his beautiful daughter, Ariana Celeste Herrera. Fatherhood brought out the best in him and gave his life deeper purpose. His love for her was evident in everything he did.
Rob is survived by his daughter, Ariana Celeste Herrera; his mother, Romelia Martinez; his girlfriend, Michelle Avila; his brother, Richard (Joey) Martinez; and his loyal dogs, Flex and Nina.
He will be remembered for his unforgettable Invisalign smile, his heart of gold, and his unwavering loyalty to those closest to him. Rob had an extraordinary ability to bring people together—offering his time, energy, and support to anyone in need, whether he knew the task or not. He lived with passion, gave generously, and loved without hesitation. His legacy will live on through his daughter, his businesses, his friendships, and the lasting impact he had on those around him.
A celebration of Rob’s life will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a rosary at 4:00 PM, at Martin Funeral Home in El Paso, Texas. All who knew and loved Rob are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his family to help cover funeral expenses.
“Till the wheels fall off.”
