Dearest Nancy and Family,

I received news of Bob's passing on Tuesday and needless to say, am very saddened. I first met Bob, 35 years ago,  where I had him on my SWA jump seat while  commuting home. I was delighted to meet another commuter from El Paso, and from that moment on, Bob and I grew a lasting friendship for the many years we commuted together between El Paso and Phoenix.  After my career at SWA, Bob reached out regarding and opportunity to fly for a corporate operation in El Paso. I had the pleasure of flying with Bob for 5 years and enjoyed our time spent flying together. Bob certainly cherished and adored you and the kids. He was most proud of his grand babies and certainly love showing them off.  We spent countless hours dicussing how the Miners can win another national championship. He really enjoyed Miner basketball and football. Again Nancy, from Maxine and my kids, we just want to express our deepest sympathy and condolences during this difficult time. Bob will certainly be missed. I wish my friend, "fair skies and following seas."

Dear Nancy,
So sorry to hear of Bob’s passing!  From his visits to Alaska, (Ketchikan and Palmer), and when you both came to Alberta, so many great memories!!  You and Bob’s frequent hospitality to Shirl, the boys and I, when in El Paso, made our sojourns to the Southwest!!  
Our shared careers at EPNG and America West, as we matured in our chosen vocation, brought many hours of related experiences, frequently punctuated with levity!  What a great friend to have  made, known, and enjoyed these many years!  
Our sincere condolences to you and the family!  We will continue to hold you up in prayer in your time of loss.

Dear Nancy, Shannon, and family,

Please accept my sincere condolences. I was blessed to have met Bob when I was younger. He and Nancy would make their summer trips back to Wisconsin to visit family. On one of those visits, in my early teens, I was fortunate to be invited to the EAA Fly-In at Oshkosh with him and his brother-in-law, "Speed." My grandmother, who helped raise me, was Nancy's sister. I have always had a fascination with aviation, and for the next few summers, it became a tradition.

As  time passed and I moved out on my own, our visits were less frequent. On a handful of occasions, if Bob had a layover in Milwaukee, I'd stop by his hotel across for the terminal, have a drink, and enjoy some small talk. I never forgot his kindness. This past summer, I took my son to the EAA for the first time, and he loved it. I couldn't help but think of Bob—reversed roles.

His kindness and the memories we shared will always be cherished. May you find comfort in the love and memories you shared with Bob.
