Rosa De La Cruz Berton was finally reunited with the love of her life on May 6, 2023. Her beloved husband, Andres, died on May 10, 2015, and Rosa, prior to her struggle with dementia, spent her last few years missing him dearly and dreaming about spending their days together again.
Rosa lived a long, happy life and entered heaven after a long battle with her illness. She is survived by three children, Andy (Lupe), Anne (Robert), and Tony (Sandra). She was a beloved grandmother to five grandchildren. She also has two great-grandchildren. She was always there when her family needed her.
She had many passions. But her primary ones were loving her family and serving them and bringing joy to their lives. She adored her husband and was at his side to the very end. She hosted holiday and birthday parties for all members of her family throughout the years and made sure that everyone was well fed and taken care of when they visited her home. Every year, she displayed her deep love for her husband by making countless tamales on his birthday in December. She also enjoyed spending time with her daughter, shopping and watching television.
She had a deep faith in Jesus Christ and is now with Him in heaven. Although she eagerly awaits all members of her beloved family, she wants everyone to enjoy the lives that God has granted them while on this earth.
The family would like to thank the staff of White Acres Good Samaritan Society for their caring support during the final chapter of Rosa’s life.
