Primo,
Thank you for your service to our country and the dedication through your leadership at the Sierra de Cristo Rey Restoration Committee, you have been a fine example of what it means to volunteer. I remember the last conversation we had on “Family” in early January on top of the mountain, you mentioned how happy you are being retired, enjoying your free time working to improve the conditions at the Sierra. But what stood out the most in our conversation was the fact that you were able to spend so much quality time with your children and grandchildren and that you felt blessed and over joyed with love to be around them, I never forgot that. I will truly miss you primo.

“Grant my primo Rosario (Toto) Bustillos eternal rest and let perpetual light shine upon him, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.” Amen.

My condolences to the Bustillos family.I am so sorry to hear of his passing.
I remember when my cousin Toto & my Grandfather would come to visit us in Pittsburg Ca. I have wonderful memories of how happy and fun Toto was. And how he would always wake up and the first thing he wanted was a ice cold Coca Cola in a bottle and would pour peanuts in it!
I came to like it to. This was about
40 +years ago.thank you for sharing all the beautiful photos. Love& Prayers✝️🙏🏼❤️

I will always remember Toto, George and Lulu. Mis Primos y Hermanos

This is a prayer I wrote some time ago. I received the message of your brother, Totos passing away. May the Peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you and your family. I modified this prayer for Toto

Our Shining Star

Far away, he, he sees this ever Bright Shining Star
He longs to see, to be ever close to this Shining Star
That enthralls his very being
A Star of promise, hope, opportunity and salvation for My Primo mi Hermano Toto
This Shining Star, so bright, is his longing and calls him to flee the darkness
He starts his journey to this New Shining Star of never ending opportunity,
life, love and happiness
His travels are treacherous but this Shining Star is his comfort, his hope, his dream and his ever ending love
The dream of reaching The Shining Star and its promise of hope keeps him going
He is within reach of this Shining Star
The final chasm, the gulf between the darkness and the Shining Star is just
a short swim away
He awakens from his darkness and is now with our Lord our God our Shining Star
Always welcome with no fear
We will see, meet you my dear Toto, when it’s our turn to see this Shining Star

Terry our hearts ache for you and the kids and grandkids! We love you both so much! Toto was always a stand up guy. Always. He bled green, and he cared about doing the right thing at every turn. He was honorable and he was jovial and he was an all-around good egg, and a loving family man. We are so sorry the good Lord called him home so soon. We know your heart is breaking, and we pray for you to find peace in the beautiful memories you created together, and peace in knowing God has him in His arms. Anything at all, you name it, and we will help. We love you, Richard and Tracy.

Rosario & Terry built their house directly behind Pat & I almost 25 yrs ago, they have been neighbors you hope you can have, and we got close early on .. We've had many good times at each others homes, and had many good talks over our yard wall often .. Rosario was good to his family, his country [twice] and friends .. his friendly smile was as a greeting to his personality .. he offered to help me so many times on every project I ever did .. he set a high bar in his life and we're fortunate to have had him in our lives! We'll forever miss hearing him working in their manicured backyard .. I would tell him his yard belongs in a magazine .. Farewell wonderful friend .. Hoppy & Pat
