

Rosie Lee Dennison was born on June 6, 1942, in Greenville, Mississippi, to Joyce McGhee and Manor Evans. She passed peacefully on January 18, 2026, surrounded by love.
Rosie spent much of her life in Chicago, where she built a home filled with warmth, strength, and deep devotion to her family. In 2000, she relocated to El Paso, Texas, where she resided until her passing.
On November 21, 1964, Rosie married the love of her life, E. Thelbert Dennison Sr. Their marriage was one of dedication, commitment, and enduring love, lasting until his passing in 2014.
Rosie loved the Lord and lived her life rooted in faith. She was a devoted member of St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member until her passing.
Rosie was known for her strong spirit and her unconditional love for her family. She was a pillar of strength, a source of comfort, and a guiding light to those who knew her. Her heart was generous, her presence reassuring, and her love unwavering.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, E. Thelbert Dennison Sr.; her son, Bazil Evans; her daughter, Laneice Dennison; and her brother, McKinney Evans.
Rosie leaves behind her beloved children: Charles Nathanel Evans (Traci), Juanita Jones, Toñita Dennison, Yolanda Bonner-Dennison (Tasha), and E. Thelbert Dennison Jr. (Shirleane). She is also survived by her sibling, Joyce Lewis, along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends.
Rosie’s legacy is one of faith, love, strength, and devotion to family. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved her.
