
Roxanne A. DeReyes Castricone passed away peacefully in San Antonio,TX on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017. She is survived by her mother, Amy H. Knight, stepfather, Robert H. Knight, sister A. Nery Geran of Fair Oaks, CA, brothers Manuel R. DeReyes (Tambra) of N. Richland Hills, TX, Richard M. DeReyes (Diane) of Albuquerque, NM and Edward M. DeReyes (Lisa) of Venice, CA. She was preceded in death by her father, Manuel B. DeReyes. Roxanne was born Aug. 26, 1961 in El Paso. A proud graduate of Loretto Academy, she attended Pierce College in Woodland Hills, CA and UTEP. She travelled the United States extensively before taking a job as a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service in El Paso. She proudly served her union local as a shop steward, actively fighting for the rights of fellow mail carriers. Possessed with a beautiful singing voice, at times she performed with local bands. She was a gifted artist and creative mind who loved country music and the Dallas Cowboys. A viewing/rosary will be held at Martin Funeral Home, 1460 George Dieter Dr. in El Paso, Sunday, Jan. 22 from 5 p.m.-9 p.m with a rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be at St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church, 12200 Vista Del Sol Dr. in El Paso, Monday, January 23, 2017 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza Rd., El Paso. A reception will follow at the Cabrini Church Parish Hall.
