Ruben O. Brown Jr

Ruben O. Brown, Jr. 83, passed away Monday, February 13, 2006. He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Elsie May. He was born in Talladega, Alabama in 1923, and had been a resident of El Paso for 49 years. CSM Brown was the First Command Sergeant Major of Fort Bliss and the only CSM to hold the position twice. He is survived by his two sons, Anthony and James Brown of El Paso; daughter-in-law, Rigmor Marna Brown and brother Adonis Brown of St. Charles, Missouri. Grandchildren John Brown, Melissa Epperson and her husband John of El Paso, Richard Brown and his wife Mindy of Bardstown, Kentucky; Vanessa Ellis and her husband D.J. of Bridge City TX. Jessica O’Leary and Kerry Manuel of Idabel, Oklahoma; Veronica and Byron Soirez of New Iberia, Louisiana; Great-Grandchildren, Kirstine Marie and Joshua John of Bardstown, Kentucky, James and Steven Epperson of El Paso, Douglas and Crystal Brown, Emily Dawn and Ashley Grace Manuel of Idabel, Oklahoma; Mark Anthony Ellis of Bridge City, TX; Skyler Beau Brown and Rodney James Soirez of New Iberia, Louisiana.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 20th at Kaster-Maxon & Futrell Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be Tuesday, February 21st at 11:00 a.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
