Ruben Garcia was called home on July 5, 2018 at the age of 41. Although unexpected and too soon, our hearts are full of loving and happy memories. He was born and raised in El Paso, TX. Our deepest condolences to the entire family from our family. I use to work with Ruben, Oscar and Jacob at Sears. Ruben’s passion for the outdoors and vehicles was inspiring. Ruben was full of laughter and positivity. I’m thankful that I have many many great memories. In this difficult time, please be assured that Ruben’s positive impact on others continues to live and we are standing with you. God bless you all.

I met Ruben when he and Oscar were just out of high school. They were working at Sears with my son Clint. I had such a difficult time remembering which was which for some reason. So I just called them "one of those Garcia twins." He was the talkative one, Oscar was the quiet one. Every time I saw him he had a hug and smile for me. It wasn't long before Ruben and his family became our family too. When we met Evelyn I told Ruben to hang on to her because she was a keeper. He already knew that! He was in love!! His love for her was so visible. Added to that love was Ilianna, then Nico! He was so happy and proud of his family. His big heart, and equally big smile will be missed so much! But the special memories of him, whether it was in a 4 wheel drive truck, on a trail ride or sitting by the fire pit at the farm will always be precious. Rest in Peace, Ruben!

I had the pleasure to work with Ruben since we were both 16 years first at McDonald's, then at Sears and finally we met again at Morehead Middle school, where I worked with him 9 years. Every time Ruben would tell me that I had to stop following him. Ruben not only became my friend he became my family. I am just heart broken to see that he left us behind. I am going to miss that laugh so much, that laugh that would get us all in trouble when we ate during lunch. My deepest condolences to his wife and babies, to his mother and father, to Oscar and the rest of his family.
Ruben until we see each other again friend, RIP I am pretty sure you are having a Wendy's frosty up in heaven.

My condolences to the entire Garcia family. I had the pleasure of working with Ruben in the IT department at TRAC-WSMR for almost a year, and while he had tough shoes to fill he did so with the utmost courage, respect and kindness. Ruben was always willing to help out no matter what the issue was. His positive outlook on life and especially the love and admiration for his family was inspiring. I know I speak for the rest of the group in saying that he will truly be missed. R.I.P Ruben.

My Deepest condolences to Ruben’s Family, to his Wife and children. I can only say that what happened to Ruben was truly unexpected and hit my wife and I very hard. I had the pleasure of working with Ruben in HP for three years, and in that time we grew to be good friends. We were privileged to be a guest at his wedding, and also to witness his love for the outdoors. He will be missed by us greatly, and we are proud to have called Ruben a friend.

To the Garcia Family,
Like everyone else I was shocked to hear about Ruben. I still can't believe it. He had just left TRAC-WSMR to start a new position at Fort Bliss. This was a great opportunity because he wanted to spend more time with his family. He also wanted to move up in his career field so his wife could stay home and care for their children. His family was always first. He would show me pictures of his children. Ruben was always smiling and telling me stories about his family and his animals. Ruben's desire to be a "chicken farmer" was a great source of entertainment. Ruben never hesitated to lend a helping hand. He was funny, kind, smart, and I always looked forward to a Ruben story. He will truly be missed.

Garcia Family,
My sincere condolences. When I heard about Ruben, I was in disbelief and still am...I still remember the years at Coldwell, when we all hung out all the time. Then time passed, we grew up and didn't see each other for a long time, and I ran into him. He treated me like we had never lost contact. That bond from when we were youngsters never ended. Then about 10 years after that and we ran into each other again, he talked to me again with same respect and kindness. Words cannot replace the huge loss of your family. May you find peace in your hearts...... RIP Ruben

Our condolences to the Garcia Family from the Salinas Family.I still can’t believe that u are gone brotha.May u RIP.I didn’t know u as long as I’ve known ur twin brother Oscar, but one thing I know for sure is I thank god for allowing me to meet u n ur brothers.U guys were always making me laugh at how competitive u guys were towards each other.I never thought that ur life would ever end because I always saw u n ur twin as invisible.Just cause how good u guys would get along. One thing that I’ve learned even more about life is that we can’t take it for granted that’s for sure.I remembered one time my daughter came from the store n told me “dad I’m so embarrassed “I asked why? n she replies cause I saw Oscar’s twin n I was like hey “big ears” that’s what she would call ur brother Oscar by the way.She told me that u looked at her like she was crazy .I started laughing at her n told her that’s his brother Ruben dodo.lol.At that time she replies “I know now dad.”lol.I could just imagine the face u made at her.lol.Still to this day is one of the best memories I will always have of u.P.S. don’t u worry about ur bro.I will be here for him if he ever needs anyone to talk to. Always Jacob Salinas n Family

Garcia family,
When I heard the news I was in disbelief, my heart instantly broke. Growing up with Ruben made my childhood so much memorable. The movie “the sandlot” reminds me of how our group of friends grew up, except it was the basketball version. All summer long we were always together, running around the courts from morning til evening like kids did back then. I will never forget you my brother...
Love,
Isidro Lujan IV and family.

Garcia Family,
My sincere condolences to the family. I grew up with Ruben at Coldwell Elemntary all the way to Austin High School. We played basketball almost everyday with the guys at Roger Bacon Seminary and the Cosmos. I am truly saddened and heart broken that my military leave cannot be extended any longer to give my farewell goodbye. The Ulloa family thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Very Respectfully,

I worked with Ruben at WSMR for ARL. He knew how to put a smile on your face and always make you laugh. He gave me good advice when my husband and I were trying to conceive. He never let me give up. When I finally became pregnant I couldn't wait to tell him. I loved hearing his stories about his daughter and son. He loved his family very much. He was such a kind-hearted person. Too young to be gone. He will truly be missed. My prayers and condolences go out to his wife, kids & family.

Ruben was a co-worker of mine at Morehead Middle School back around 2005-2010. Always made me laugh!
So sorry to hear of his passing at such a young age. My thoughts, prayers, and condolences go out to his family at this
most difficult of times. May God hold you in his arms and bring you peace and comfort.
