Ruben is survived by his wife, Patricia Zavala; his daughter Araceli Bernadette Martinez; his daughter Vanessa Zavala; his son Ruben Zavala Jr.; and his son Adrian Edward Zavala; his brother Rudy Zavala; his stepbrother Marcelino Zavala.
Mr. Zavala also had 8 grandchildren: Michael Ray Caldera, Alyssa Rae Moreno, Emily Rey Martinez, Adrianne Ella Zavala, Alana June Zavala, Alijah-Jay Freddy Zavala, Ava Nalie Zavala and Emmanuel Favela Jr.
A visitation for Ruben will be held Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A vigil will occur Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 6:00 PM, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A funeral mass will occur Friday, July 1, 2022 at 10:00 AM at San Antonio De Padua Catholic Church, 503 Hunter Dr, El Paso, Texas 79915. An interment will occur Friday, July 1, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79907.
