

It is with great sadness that the family of Salvador “Chava” Roberto Villa, announce his passing on Monday, April 17, 2017. Born in 1925 in El Paso, TX., to the late Juan and Dominga Villa. He attended Bowie High School and was very proud to have served his country during WWII in the 13th Armored Division for the US Army. Throughout his early years he was an automotive mechanic at Courtesy Chevrolet, Bailey Cadillac and Kemp Ford before moving on to being shop foreman for the Transportation Department at EPISD. He was an active member of the VFW Post #6388. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Velia M. Villa. He is survived by his five children; Salvador and his wife Sylvia;, Carmen; Cecilia; Sylvia and husband Algie; and Leticia and husband Miguel. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, Melina (Gabriel), William Edward (Aileen), Christina, Victor, Nancy, Carolyn, Yvonne, Diego, Naomi, Noah, and his thirteen great grandchildren who greatly adored him. Visitation hours will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N. Carolina Dr., El Paso, on Friday April 21, 2017 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm with the Rosary starting at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday April 22, 2017 at 9 am at the Mt. Carmel Old Mission with interment following at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
