TORRES SR., SANTIAGO B., 79, Visitation: 3-9 p.m. Sun., March 7, with Rosary at 7 p.m. at F. D. A. Kaster-Maxon & Futrell Chapel. Mass: 10 a.m. Monday, at Our Lady of the Light Catholic Church. Burial: Jardines Del Angel Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Survived by wife, Cecilia R.; sons, Santiago Jr., Daniel, Reymundo, & Roberto; daughters, Irma T. Santillan, Rebecca Torres, Erminda T. Gutierrez, Sylvia Zubiate; sisters, Elena Gonzalez & Marta Torres.

Santiago B. (Chago) Torres, Sr., 79 passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010. He was a life long resident of El Paso, TX. He is preceded in death by his Son David Torres and his Daughter, Bernice T. Jiame. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Cecilia R. Torres. He leaves behind four Sons: Santiago Torres, Jr., Daniel Torres, Reymundo Torres and Roberto Torres, four Daughters: Irma T. Santillan, Rebecca Torres, Erminda Gutierrez and Sylvia Zubiate. He leaves his legacy of 22 Grandchildren, 37 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He is survived by his two sisters Elena Gonzalez and Marta Torres. He retired from EPISD and was a member of the Hilos de Plata Senior Center. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2010 from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Funeraria Del Angel Kaster-Maxon-Futrell, 8817 Dyer, with recitation of the rosary to begin at 7:00 P.M. The mass will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010 at Our Lady of the Light Catholic Church, 4700 Delta at 10:00 A.M. Interment following at Restlawn Memorial Park, 8700 Dyer, where he will be laid to rest. His charm and quick wit will be missed by all as well as his famous “Papas con Spam”.
