Seamone Abood Haddad, age 80, was called home to God on June 7, 2015. She was preceded by her husband of 56 years, George Haddad. Seamone was born in a small village in Lebanon, Jeb Jannine, and immigrated to the US in 1950. She and George lived in Cleveland Ohio for 10 years before moving to El Paso where they built a life together and raised four amazing children. As a “stay at home mom”, she nurtured her children in a warm and caring environment, guiding their lives with her gentle hands. She taught them important ideals such as respecting others, an unconditional trust in God, developing lifelong friendships, always staying connected with family and friends, looking out for and helping others, and believing in yourself. During her lifetime, Seamone was extremely active in her church, volunteering thousands of hours doing fund raisers, cooking food and hosting events. Furthermore, she routinely opened both her heart and home to many people. Whether a friend, family member or a stranger, you were always welcomed into her home for great food and fellowship. To her friends, Seamone possessed an incredible zeal for life along with an unwavering spiritual devotion that defined her time on earth. She became someone they could turn to in good times and in bad. As Teta, grandmother, of eight incredible grandchildren, she adored and cherished them all, providing them with an overabundance of love and support. To her family, she was our “heart”, the reason we are who we are, our friend, our confidante, our mother. To all, she served as an inspiration that anything is possible. Seamone is survived by her son George II, wife Carol and their children, George III, Megan, Olivia and Danielle; son Joseph and his children Aundrea and Madelynn; daughter Rose and her husband Roderick and their children Hunter and Skylar; and finally her youngest son, Charles.
