He was born on October 27, 1952, in Jimenez Mexico to Silverio Jr. and Ernestina Murillo. Silver became a naturalized citizen when he was in the second grade and has spent the entire time enriching El Paso.
Silverio was a mechanic for and retired from El Paso Water Utilities after a 25 year long career in 2009. With his giant heart, he never turned down lending a helping hand to those around him. From mariachi to yard mechanic, there was nothing he wouldn't do to assist his many friends and family. When work was at a lull, Silver loved to treat his children and grandchildren to visits to "Rudolph Chevrolet" for a delicious break. He was always the life of the party with a guitar in his hand and a voice not to be soon forgotten.
Silverio is survived by his wife, Herlinda (Married Dec. 20 1975); children Silverio Murillo IV, Lizette Lara, and Noemi Warren; brothers Javier Murillo and Fernando Murillo; sisters Rosa Sanchez, Betty Phillips, and Sylvia Vega; 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
