Silvia Yarbrough, born Silvia Martha Boysselle Cardenas, passed away on August 13, 2026, at the age of 87, surrounded by the love of her family.

Silvia was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, México, to Lieutenant Colonel Luis Boysselle Campos and Elena Cárdenas de Boysselle. As the daughter of an officer in the Mexican Army, she spent portions of her childhood and youth living in different parts of Mexico as her father's military service took the family from place to place. Her parents eventually settled in Torreón, Coahuila, where Silvia met Desiderio Interian Gongora, the love of her life and father of her three daughters.

Silvia graduated from nursing school and worked as a nurse, often caring for patients during night shifts at the hospital. Her strength, determination, and extraordinary work ethic followed her throughout every chapter of her life. After her marriage to Desiderio ended, Silvia remarried and made the United States her home, where she continued to build a life centered on family, perseverance, and hard work. Later became the widow of Wilson Yarbrough.

Silvia was a woman who was rarely afraid of hard work or a new challenge. She loved plants and especially enjoyed sewing, a talent she used both creatively and practically throughout her life. She also enjoyed building, construction, home improvement, and fixing things with her own hands. She loved dancing and singing, and those who knew her will remember her strength, her humor, and the joy she could bring into a room.

More than anything, Silvia's life was defined by what she did for her family. She worked tirelessly and found a way to provide even when circumstances were difficult. Her love was often expressed through action: through working, sewing, building, repairing, giving, and sacrificing so that her daughters and the generations after them could have more.

Her hands worked hard for many years, and the life her family enjoys today carries the imprint of those sacrifices.

Silvia is survived by her three daughters, Sylvia Elena Edwards, Brenda Interian-Boysselle, and Rebecca Interian; her nine grandchildren, Jesus Mauro Boysselle Jr., Adrian Desiderio Boysselle, Louis Andre Edwards, Christopher Lamuel Edwards, Maria Elena Edwards, Richard Allen Edwards, Robert Arthur Edwards, Anabella April Tarango, and Isaac Daniel Tarango; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Jesus Mauro Boysselle III, Timothy Michael Boysselle, Zipporah Grace Boysselle, Leslie Jane Boysselle, Allison Desi Boysselle, Emilio Ricardo Sanchez Edwards, Lydia Elena Edwards, Selena Patricia Edwards, Julian Andres Edwards, James Micahel Birdwell, Jacob Miguel Birdwell, Sierra Jia Edwards, Levy Jeehoon Edwards, and Desiderio Ramos Interian.

Silvia leaves behind a legacy of strong women in her three daughters, a growing family, and generations shaped by her perseverance. Her hands can finally rest, but the love her hands gave, the work they accomplished, and the lives they helped build will continue for generations. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and remembered with gratitude for the remarkable life she lived.

Visitation will be held at Martin Funeral Home-East, 1460 George Dieter Dr., El Paso, Texas 789936, USA, on September 6, 2026, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, followed by the Rosary at Martin Funeral Home-East, 1460 George Dieter Dr., El Paso, Texas 79936, USA, on September 6, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:40 pm.

A Catholic Funeral Mass will take place at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church, 12200 Vista Del Sol Dr, El Paso, Texas 79936, USA, on September 7, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with the Committal Service to follow at Concordia Cemetery, 3700 Yandell Dr, El Paso, Texas 79903, USA, on September 7, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
