Simon was dearly love by his wife Celia and family. He is survived by Celia, daughters Shirley Mata, Debra Mora, Yvonne Jacquez, sons Steven, Simon IV and James, 18 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, brother Albert Mata and various nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Elvira & Simon Mata II, brothers Fernando and Enrique. Simon was a veteran having served in the U.S Army Airborne 11th, 32nd, 187th and 82nd Division and also fought in the Korean conflict. He was an architect and a business owner. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, family and friends.
