Socorro V. Troncoso, 89, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully at home in Santa Teresa, NM on Friday, August 19, 2022. She was born on April 27, 1933 in La Cienega de Ojos Azules in Chihuahua, MX. Mrs. Troncoso was a homemaker, a member of Club 1373 in Sunland Park, NM, a wonderful cook, but foremost a caring mother.
Socorro was preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Guadalupe Vargas of Cd. Juarez, MX; her husband Manuel M. Troncoso, her son Antonio Troncoso, her brothers Ignacio, Jose, and Manuel Vargas a sister Carmen Duarte. Survivors include her children Luz Elva Vargas and husband Alfredo Navarrete, Lupe and husband Gene Rodriguez, Manuel Troncoso, Jr. and wife Guillermina, Jesus Troncoso and wife Patricia, Victor Troncoso and wife Joy, Gloria Troncoso, Armando Troncoso and wife Dolores, Lourdes and husband Jesus Marquez, Humberto Troncoso and wife Sonia; her sisters Maria Ramos, Mercedes Ochoa and Luz Maldonado; numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews and extended family members.
The Troncoso Family would like to express our deepest gratitude to Clarita Modesto and Karina Magallanes for their kindness and dedication in helping care for our beloved mother.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home West, 128 Resler Dr., El Paso, TX 79912. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 4006 Hidden Way, El Paso, TX 79922 at 1:00 PM. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 4900 McNutt Rd., Santa Teresa, NM 88008. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons: Humberto Troncoso, Luis Sotomayor, Mario Sotomayor, Christopher Troncoso, Jacob Marquez and Michael Armendariz. Honorary pallbearers: Jesus Troncoso, Victor Troncoso, and Armando Troncoso.
