Our beloved sister in law, aunt and my husband's sister.

It's been almost three years since you left us behind but we still remember and miss you very much.  You are always in our mind and hearts because you are unforgettable; we especially miss all of your being because we can no longer, touch or hug you or have you, around us.  I, myself will always have that respect and admiration along with all the love that death cannot destroy.   We only have the memories you left in our lives but we know that you only got ahead in leaving this life to go to the everlasting one and to be in a holy, perfect body, the presence of our beloved,  Sovereign Father/GOD.  You earned that place because of your faith and works here on earth, so now you have the privilege of contemplating and glorifying, His Holiness.  We love you very much and will never forget who you were in our lives.  Rest in Eternal Peace next to our beloved heavenly Creator.

I only worked with Sukey for a year at the YWCA but she had such a great sense of humor and it was hard not to feel relaxed and at ease when she was around.  Rest in light and peace.

It’s been hard to find the words to say goodbye to you. I spent ten years of my life working with you, growing up into a woman and being a mom to two boys. You comforted me in my time of loss, loved my babies, and gave me great advice on how to be a good mom to my kids as you were to yours. We shared laughter and tears and I’ll cherish every memory I have of you. I look at your desk and tears come to my eyes because I thought you’d be right back. I know you are gone now but hope to see you again someday. Rest and be at peace Sukey. I will miss you so much. Goodbye.

It was an honor to know Mrs. Urbina.  Her son Aaron and I have worked together for 13 years and have become family.  We were fortunate to see Mrs. Urbina last year at Aaron and Julie's wedding which was great and spend a couple days visiting.  Our hearts and prayers to the family in this time.

It was a  pleasure working with you. Having someone like you as a coworker has been no less than a gift.  Not only were you fantastic at your job, quit the mentor on accounting rules in and procedures, but you have also proven yourself to be a loving and caring person, both in the office and out in the world. I will miss our random conversations around our desks or by the copy machine. You are one of a kind and not easily replaced.
You will be missed, but never forgotten.

We will deeply miss your beautiful, sweet soul tia Pinky! I have such wonderful memories of being with the whole family during all holidays growing up, and then being grown up and always laughing with your sense of humor,  you were truly one of a kind! Say hi to my tio  Ruben  who you are now reunited with. I'm sure my Troy was also there to greet you with his big smile!

I had the privilege to call Sukie my second mom. She invited me and Angelina into the Urbina family with open arms. I couldn't have asked for a better mother-in-law.  I will cherish our long talks and time spent together.  God needed a beautiful flower for his garden and he only picks the best. I will always miss and love her. 


My beautiful sister I am heart broken.  You were more than my sister. You were my best friend, my confidant, companion, comadre and so much more. We shared a lifetime together filled with memories.  Through all the good times, sad times, celebrations and special days we were there together.  You were a strong and caring mother.  Your sons and grandchildren were  your pride and joy . I had the privilege of working with Sukie at the phone company(SBC).   We started working around the same time and bonded quickly.  She would always talk about her kids and Ruben and bring a smile to everyone around her.  My deepest condolences to the family.  RIP❤️

This is very hard because losing somebody that was a big part of my life especially growing up  it’s going to be very difficult not to see my Aunt Pinky at are family gatherings and we are going to miss you and we love you so much . 

In 1976, my husband & I were next door neighbors to Ruben & Pinky on Freeport Street off of Havenrock. We had some fun times together. 
Our 3 kids went to Desert View Middle & Hanks High School & our son Matthew was friends with their son, Sammy.

I had the privilege of working with Sukey at the YWCA. She took me under wing from day one and helped me a lot during my time at YWCA . She was always very kind and patient with me. I enjoyed hearing her talk about her family. Family was everything to her. When I found out I was pregnant, I remember the first thing she said was, I hope it’s a boy! When I told her I was having a boy she gave me biggest smile and chuckled and said good! Boys are awesome! I love my boys! You were right Sukey, God gave me all boys like you and they’re awesome! I hope your now in heaven with your beloved husband who you deeply missed and enjoyed talking about . Thank you for everything, you will forever live in my memories and heart! 

Tia, I already miss your funny comments, talking with you at our table , catching up on things. You were such an amazing grandma and mom and Tia. I’m happy that you are finally reunited with your husband Ruben and my Grandma Sukie. Love, your nieces Evie and Abby 

My beautiful and beloved Sister Suky  (Pinky).  Words cannot express how much I am going to miss you.  My fondest memories were when you used to take me as a little girl to the old Pershing Theater to see Disney Movies.   As I grew older the Disney Movies turned into going to Horror Movies at the Plaza Theater, and ending the day with eating hot dogs at Coney Island.  . I will cherish the good times we shared as a family, especially during the Holidays, Weddings, Dances and so many memorable events.  You were an amazing mother and grandmother.  I admired your strength, courage and dedication to your sons, grandsons, your job and countless years of service to the Church and Community.  You did it all Sis with a smile.  I will miss your sense of humor, story telling and a shoulder to lean on.  Rest in Peace my  dear Pinky.  You are in Heaven in the Presence of your sweet husband Ruben and our Parents. Even before we met, you knew about me through Erik and Miles, so we were destined to be friends and we were.  I will miss our lunches and talks together.  The Lord has taken a beautiful soul. Rest In Peace Sukey.  I know you are with your beloved Ruben. Love you forever.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this note. Our YWCA community is heart broken. I was fortunate to meet Sukey when I started at the YWCA. She had a kind heart and spirit. We are all in deep mourning for her loss. She left an imprint of love and kindness in each of our lives and she will be deeply missed. Our condolences to her family who she loved so much. Rest In Peace and in Gods loving arms our beloved Sukey. 


 It was such a pleasure to get to know and share our stories together about our families, and most of all sharing our birthday month together.  You always helped me get through the day when I was down.  I will miss you my friend.

We had the pleasure of meeting  Socorro at my daughter's and son-law wedding. What a wonderful soul she was, she will surly be missed by everyone. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel and I know she will be watching over us. Until we meet again rest peacefully we love you.

Mom words can never explain how much I truly love you. Thank you so much for all of the love and all of the wonderful years. I am so grateful to God that he gave me such an amazing Mother that took care of me and my brothers with such love,  patience, kindness and understanding. I love you Mom always and forever. My family and I would like to express our most sincere condolences to her entire family. May the Lord give you all strength, faith and blessings during this difficult time.  
There are no words to help cope with the pain of loosing a loved one, but they say time is the best healer. As the days pass, our heart is hurting for the loss of our loved one. When looking back to the memories left by that person, you will know and feel they lived life to it's fullest. 
I am sure Socorro lived life to it's fullest and now she has joined her loved one's in the Lord's Kingdom. May she rest in eternal peace. 🙏🙏

My beloved family, I know you are missing & hurting for Pinky's departure but I want to let you know how I always admired and also loved her, so.  To me she was an exceptional woman and sister in law because she was a hard worker, always active and so  giving,   Her love and dedication for her family was admirable and made her a very special daughter, sister, mom, grandma, and sister in law.  She could conquer anything because nothing was impossible for her and even through anything she might of faced in this life, she was a true warrior, never gave up and serve  our Lord/God, well..  It was a true privilege and blessing, to have had her, as my sister in law.  She is now a shinning star, in Heaven and an angel that is watching over her boys, grandchildren and each one of you.   I'm here for any of you and I'm deeply sorry for all the pain and hurt each one of you is  going through.  I wish I could take that it  away,  but all I can offer you is my love, my prayers to comfort you and my arms as  support,  at this time and for as long as you need.. It breaks my heart to hear this sweet, dear person is gone.  Sukey was one of the most wonderful and sweetest people I had the honor of meeting.  She had a very gently way in taking care of others who had to go through the difficulty of loosing a loved one.  Especially those who lost their own mothers similar to the way she lost hers.  She made it known she would be there to offer support or even just a hug.  Sukey was a little shinning star in a sea of chaos.  This is just one of the many things that made her special. 

I had the honor of knowing and working with Sukey for over a decade.  Her gentle nature and wry sense of humor were always a bright spot in a visit to the accounting department.  She frequently shared stories and her love of her family was always evident.  No matter what mayhem my team created with missing receipts and last minute requests, she accepted our chaos with a chuckle and a sigh and fixed our mistakes.  She will be deeply missed and I will cherish her friendship always... Abrazos Amiga. 

It was an absolute privilege to be Sukey’s friend. Like many others, I got to know her during my time working at the YWCA from 2010 to 2012. We remained close friends ever since then and always made it a point to catch up and have lunch when we could. She was hilarious and witty! We always joked, and laughed, and tried to make the best out of life. It was always a good time when we hung out together. I loved hearing about her weekend adventures with her grandsons, how her sons were doing in life, her church involvement, and wonderful stories about Ruben. She was a wonderful mother, coworker and beautiful friend. Strong - she was a very strong person.  Beautiful soul. We shared many stories and her company was the absolute best. I am grateful that I got to see her before life changed for all of us this year. Even if it was just for our hour long lunch break downtown, it was great. I remember that day vividly and will always remember that last lunch gathering. Even though she is gone now, I can only imagine how happy she must be to be with Ruben again. She is most definitely still here with her family and friends in spirit. A woman of faith and she always believed. So, I know she’s here in spirit :) Love you and miss you, Sukey. 

Please accept my sincere condolences.  Ms. Sukey, as I called her, was a fantastic lady.  She was a whiz at her job, and because of that, she was a wonderful, critical member of our Teen Leadership team.  Personally, she was very kind to me, especially when my mother passed last year.  She was sweet and compassionate, sharp and witty.  All the best qualities that matter.  I know she loved her family and spoiling her grandkids because she would talk about them often.  I am grateful to have known her and worked with her.  I have missed,  and will miss stopping at her desk and sitting down with her to chat and have a piece of hard candy.   

I had the pleasure of working with Sukey for the last few years.  She was such a kind, wonderful co-worker and friend.  She was a pistol, and I truly loved her dry sense of humor.  I will miss her so much.  I'm sure she is enjoying Ruben's company now.  God bless her family, especially her sons and grandsons.  She was so proud of them all, and would speak of them often.  She was so happy when her grandsons spent time with her...that's all she would talk about. 
May her soul rest in peace.  

Ms. Sukey was a team member who never hesitated to help, to laugh, and to teach others.  She cared deeply about YWCA, Teen Leadership, and all of us.

Prayers go out to her family.  I know she is with her Veteran husband and am so proud she will be with him at Fort Bliss.

Rest easy and fly high, Ms. Sukey, you will truly be missed.
