Susan is survived by her husband of 53 years, Hector L. Almeida; her son, Michael Almeida, daughter-in-law Lorraine Almeida, grandsons Joshua Almeida and Julian Hernandez; her daughter Rachel S. Bumgardner, son-in-law Jack Bumgardner, granddaughters Abigail S. Bumgardner Jordan & Annaliese Bumgardner, and grandson Jack P. Bumgardner.
Susan was born in El Paso, TX at Hotel Dieu, went to El Paso High School and graduated from UTEP
with a bachelor's degree in education. Susan taught at Beall Elementary and Cordova Middle and retired in 2005. Susan donated her time to help with the children at Coronado Baptist Church to include Celebrate Recovery and the Good News Club. Susan went on mission trips to Israel, Mexico, Belize and Honduras to name a few.
Susan will be greatly missed by her family and friends. However, we know she has left her temporary home and is now at HOME with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She entered the pearly gates and was greeted by Jesus and heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant”. We love you mom! This is not good-bye but see you soon!
Funeral will be January 29, 2025, at Coronado Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Mike Woods. Viewing at 9:00 am, service at 10:00 am, reception at 11:00 am at the Crossing across the street from Coronado Baptist Church. After the reception, family procession will head to Fort Bliss Cemetery for burial at 2:00 pm. Pallbearers: Jack Bumgardner, Jack P. Bumgardner, Joshua Almeida, Julian Hernandez, Connor Jordan & Robert Almeida.
