Susana was born on June 18th, 1957 to Mary Holguin in El Paso. After Susana graduated from Bowie High School in 1975 she had various occupations before settling on a decades long career in Medical Insurance Billing. As a Certified Medical Coder with the AAPC she became an active member in the local El Paso Chapter holding officer positions of Secretary and Treasurer. In 1978 Susana met Fernando Garnica, they were married in 1982 and went on to have two children Amanda Susan Garnica and Fernando Estevan Garnica. In 2020 Susana retired and spent her time actively participating in the El Paso Chapter of AAPC, traveling to Arizona and Minnesota exploring all the sights and events with close family. She also enjoyed retirement by spending quality time with her family, caring for and cultivating her outdoor and indoor plants and flowers, as well as one of her favorite pastimes, thrifting for her impeccable fashion and home decor aesthetic.
Susana is survived by her husband Fernando Garnica, children Amanda Susan Garnica, Fernando Estevan Garnica, son-in-law Francisco Ibarbo, daughter-in-law Symone Davis, mother Mary Suarez, sister Elizabeth Marie Send, brothers Jose Francisco Holguin, Daniel Vincent Holguin, and loving nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in-law.
