

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Thomas Joseph Hawk, 71 on December 4, 2014. He was born on March 1, 1943 to Thomas Irvin and Emily (Olsav) Hawk in Hazelton, PA. Tom joined the Army in 1961and served at Ft. Bliss in El Paso, TX were he met and married the love of his life Mary (Branson) and they shared 49 beautiful years together.
Tom remained in El Paso and started working at Western Electric in the mid-1960’s. He then began his career with Civil Service at White Sands Missile Range and Fort Bliss. His dedication to his work earned him numerous acknowledgments and awards of recognition. In 2003 he retired from the Directorate of information Management (DOIM).
Never one to sit and relax, Tom always kept busy with many projects around the house and often joked about how he ever found time to go to work. Tom was a firm believer in the Second Amendment, he enjoyed attending gun shows and trips to the shooting range with his son and grandson.
Tom leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, son Adam (Maribel) Hawk, grandson Brandon Thomas and his beloved cats Calvin and Mackenzie.
Rosary will be Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 6:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Martin East. Funeral Mass will be Friday, December 12, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Raphael Catholic Church. Internment will be held privately at a later date at
Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
