His Father was Joe Earn Hoggan, and Mother Fayetta Irene Hoggan. He served an enlistment in the United States Army with the 62nd Army Band at Fort Bliss,Texas. Subsequently, he attended the National Autonomous University of Mexico and the University of Texas at El Paso. He was certified with the American Translators Association. He pursued an elementary education teaching career. He obtained a Master's degree in education all the while raising five children with his devoted wife, Silvia. He did social work in a Juarez, MX prison and founded Penta-Continental and World Boxing Board Championships. His businesses allowed him to travel worlwide. He was a votary of the history of the Spanish Civil War, and a friend of Utah State Libraries. Education was very important to him, whether he was a student or a teacher. Most importantly he wanted to be God's student, especially in his final years. He embraced all faiths that were Christian based. It was evident especially in his final years, and he spent his last days writing down biblical scriptures. His last seconds of life were spent listening to Catholic mass while also waiting for an LDS member to come bless him. It also happened to be Mother's Day and his Father's birthday. He treasured his childhood memories so much, that it inspired him to write a memoir, which is currently in the process of completion. He enjoyed listening to old time radio dramas/comedy, literature, and stamp collecting. He greatly cared for animals, especially strays and their protection. He proudly kept his Humane Society of the U.S. member card in his wallet, which he used at times in the defense of animals. No rescue was an inconvenience for him, rather he felt it was his calling, and those who love him agree. He loved all his children and their children very much. He is survived by his wife Silvia, sons Braulio (Antonia) Eduardo (Monica) Darcy (Karina). Daughters Marisela and Kimberley (Jeffrey). His grandchildren are Kevin Romero, Yazirt Romero, Thomas Romero, Hilda Hoggan, Marco Hoggan, and Braulio Hoggan, Darcy Joseph Hoggan, Ashlee Aydee Hoggan and John Thomas Valesano.
