Tomas (Tommy) Cortez, born July 2, 1955 in El Paso, TX was called home by our Heavenly Father on August 19, 2018. Tommy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Irma Cortez; parents, Refugio and Santiago Cortez; siblings, Victor and Rosa Cortez. He is survived by his brothers, Juan, Jose (Terry), Jesus (Sonia); sister, Mercy (Ben). His beloved David B. Holguin and other nieces and nephews. Beloved friends, Martha, Norma and close friends. A special thanks to his colleagues from EPPD and US Border Patrol. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with Vigil Service at 7:00 pm at Crestview Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, August 24, 2018 at 8:30 am at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 131 Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79907. Rite of Committal will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. We love him and we will miss him until we meet again at the Banquet of Heaven. Our beloved brother, uncle, cousin and friend is now at peace with his lovely bride in the Arms of Our Heavenly Father.
