Leni, I am sorry for your lost. My mom, Sharon Harris, Called me to tell me. We talked about the times we spent together in Kinship meetings through Vineyards.

Yoli and I were just thinking about you.  I have been gone from El Paso for ten years but think of you often.

This is my memory. The day I saw Mt Wages standing next to his wife in church after all those years she prayed...I cried. I was something to behold. He was a good and fair man. And a very generous spirit. I will miss him

Gene was one of the most honorable individuals I have had the pleasure of meeting.  We worked together for several years at EPIC and his expertise was unquestionable.  He was a hardworking, decent, wonderful individual who will be missed.

When I met Gene during my first visit to El Paso during the exercise Roving Sands in 1996 I soon learned to respect this fine man,great soldier and fabulous hunter. We soon became very close friends and considered us brothers in arms. When me and my wife Anita  moved to El Paso in 2003 were honoured to have Gene and Leni as very close friends often at our house and even more often at the Rod and Gun Club. We were so pleased when the two of them visited us at our home in Tübingen; Germany after we retourned in 2007.
I truly lost a very close friend and a great buddy. I will never forget his kindness and his understanding while we were out hunting.This man tought me a lot about life and faith during our conversations in the hunting camp in Idaho. I salute.

Gene was a very good friend.  I treasure all the memories of the Kinship group meetings we had together.  I appreciate you serving as secretary of our Chapter 1473 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association.  I also appreciate your help for two years in volunteer income tax preparation at the Northeast YMCA.  You were a true friend and always willing to help. We will miss you.
