Veronica Ables

It is with the heaviest of tear-filled hearts that we announce the passing of our dearest and most beloved angel Veronica Ables, 50, who answered the Lord’s call peacefully in her sleep on November 16, 2024. Veronica was born in Brownsville, TX on November 23, 1973.

Veronica is survived by her parents, Antonio and Cristina Chavez; her siblings, Tony Chavez, Brenda Chavez, Esli Chavez; her husband, Joe Ables; her sons Giovanni Ables, Joe Ables Jr., and many more loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Veronica’s inspirational purpose throughout her life was one of incredibly strong, service driven, family values. She worked tirelessly to give, help, lift up, care for, and protect her family, both near and far. Veronica showed us the genuine meaning of the word family as she took care of all of us as much as she was able. She taught us what it meant to be loved, as she held our hearts close to hers in every moment she could. Veronica’s soul shined a light so bright, so warm and so inviting, it illuminated the way and helped so many of us through even the darkest of times and led us back into the comforting embrace of her loving arms.

Remember this, as we try to say goodbye, Veronica never wanted to see anyone sorrowful or sad and was always the first to help wipe away the tears. Understand that now she is basking in the Lord’s heavenly enchantment, surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones. Each moment you look upwards, know she is reaching down, gently wiping away our sorrow and tears with her newly found wings, filled with the softness, grace, and love that only an angel could possess.

Veronica is genuinely loved by many and will be dearly missed by all; however, she will never be forgotten as we live in remembrance and continue her legacy of love, family, and cherished memories.

Visitation for Veronica will be held Monday, November 25, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM with Funeral Servcie at 12:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Restlawn Funeral Home 8817 Dyer St, El Paso, Texas 79904.
