

Victor Sepeda Blanco(85) was born on January 4, 1940 in Newgulf, Texas and raised in Wharton, Texas with his 12 siblings. He finished his race on May 21, 2025 in El Paso, Texas right where he wanted to, at his own home surrounded with family.
He was a devoted husband, father, son, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
He served in the military for 26 years in which he did 2 Vietnam tours. Many knew him as Master Sgt. Blanco. During his military service in Germany he surrendered his life to the Lord and got born again. His life forever changed.
After retiring from the Army he lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma for a time and took several classes at Oral Roberts university. He also became a graduate of Rhema Bible College. His deep faith guided his every action.
He was a member and minister at Word of Life Church in which he led the prison ministry. He was a regular feature throughout the prisons in El Paso, Texas as he and his wife Gloria preached the gospel together there.
He ministered in India, took food to the homeless in Juarez, Mexico, shared the Word of God at the Salvation Army, at home Bible studies, and even hospitals.
He leaves a rich legacy of his devotion to Christ for others to follow. His selfless dedication to sharing Christ's love has left an indelible mark on countless of lives.
Victor is preceded in death by his parents Alejandro and Mercedes Blanco, brothers David Blanco, Frank Suaste, Joe Blanco, Gilbert Blanco, and sisters Manuela Arocha, Elvira Postel, Ellena San Miguel, and Catarina Becerra.
He is survived by his loving wife Gloria P. Blanco, children Victor R. Blanco and wife Sahara Blanco, daughter Sonia Brown and husband Tom Brown, son Adrian Blanco, stepchildren Adrian Olivares, Monica Rascon, sister Mercedes Blanco Montelongo, brothers Juan Blanco and Alexandro Blanco, grandchildren Justin Brown and wife Christine Cliatt Brown, Debbie Lopez and husband Ernesto Lopez, Faith Farris and husband Daniel Farris, Caleb Brown and wife Silviya Brown, Victor A. Blanco and wife Elly May Blanco, step-grandchildren Briana Quinones, Lauren Olivares, Joaquin Rascon, and Sebastian Rascon, great-grandchildren August Cliatt Brown, Lincoln Cliatt Brown, Titus Farris, and Judah Farris, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at Word of Life Church, 11675 Pratt Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79936, on Sunday, June 8 at 6 pm. A gravesite service with full honors will follow on Monday, June 9th at 10 am at Fort Bliss Cemetery.
