Virginia R. Ortiz was an investigator at the Texas Workforce COmmision from June 1997 until her retirement on September 2022. Died on January 2026 nat the age of 66 years old. Virginia is survived by her brother Merdardo R. ortiz III. She is predeceased by her father Medardo Ortiz Jr., her mother Martha Dolores Renteria Ortiz, and her grandmother Ramona Gonzalez De Renteria. Virginia was born on January 15,1960. She was a 1978 graduate from Riverside High school. While working at the Texas Workforce Commission, she conducted investigations into alleged violations of labor laws. A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, February 11th at hillcrest funeral home from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Deacon David Hernandez will officiate. Rosary from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Mass will be on February 12th at San antonio Catholic Church from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery at 11:30 am.
