Virginia Williams Palafox

Virginia Williams Palafox, 86 , from El Paso, Texas passed away passed away January 6, 2015. She was born August 1, 1928 to Frank Williams and Andrea Rivera Williams from Brownsville, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings. Virginia is survived by four children and their spouses, Dannette Bozzell (John Bozzell), Norma Price (Dr. Larry Price), Fernando Palafox Jr. and Edward Palafox (Amy Palafox), eight grandchildren; Ryan Bozzell (Jessica), Elyse Bozzell Morones (Steven), Danielle Price, Andrea Palafox, Fernando Palafox, Hannah Palafox, David Palafox and Jennie Palafox, and two great grandchildren, Zach and Eli Morones. She is also survived by her many friends and her beloved nieces, nephews and their families.

Virginia attended and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics and Early Childhood Education in 1948 from the University of Texas at Austin. There she met and married Fernando Palafox of El Paso, Texas. Virginia and Fernando were married September 2, 1948 and returned to El Paso, Texas where they lived and raised their family.

Virginia participated and was a member of several organizations in El Paso throughout her life including the American Association of University Women and El Paso Gardening Club.

Virginia was also a beloved and dedicated educator with the El Paso Independent School District for over twenty years. She will be fondly remembered by her students and friends in the education community.

Virginia most enjoyed being with her family and friends throughout her life. Her friends and family will warmly remember her family gatherings and celebrations especially during the Holidays. She especially enjoyed creating and sharing some of her treasured recipes.

She found great comfort and strength in her south Texas home especially her South Padre Island.
