Correction to last entry.  Theodore Johnson was the Tuskugee Airman congreesional medal of honor recipient.  Hr is also having funeral services today and is being laid to rest at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.  Two heroes in heaven.

Pops, you are truly going to be missed. You definitely were an excellent father figure in my life. I spent more time at your house than I did my own when Sam and I were in High School. You called me Cochise from day one. I will always remember you giving me sound advice although I may not have always listened. Thank you for being part of my life. I couldn't have asked for anyone better. Rest in Paradise Pops. 

Mr Griffin was a Great Man👑. My Son and I met him through his Son Sam. (My Brother in Christ) He was a Man with Integrity, Full of Wisdom and much more. He loved his Wife and Family.  My Son Served him food in the hospital and he had a big smile on his face. They talk Military because they both had that in common. They was laughing and laughing. We will miss him much. Our Condolences/Prayers for the Family. May God Strength His Wife and Family. 🙏🏽Resting in Heaven Mr Griffin♥️  

He was a very kind person.  My son grew up talking to him about his experiences in the military, he is now gaining his own experience in the Navy.  When my son joined, Willie took the time to speak to him to give him some advice to make sure he got the most of it.  Through out the years when we would speak, he would always ask about my son, and how he was doing.  I've never met anyone as kind as him.  We will dearly miss him.  RIP Mr. Griffin.  

I HAVE SO MANY MEMORIES. WE HAVE BEEN FAMILY SINCE I WAS BORN.  YOU WERE MY GRANDFATHERS BEST FRIEND. YOU ALWAYS PLAYED WITH ME AND TREATED ME AS IF I WAS YOUR OWN. I REMEMBER WHEN YOU AND MY GRANDPA WOULD GO OVER  EACH OTHERS HOUSE I USE TO GET SO EXCITED BECAUSE I KNEW THAT MEANT I WOULD GET UNLIMITED CHIPS AND I COULD PUT MY FINGER IN BOTH OF YOUR DRINKS.  YOU WILL BE FOREVER MISSED. LOVE YIU 

I would just like to take this opportunity  an say it was truly an honor to meet you. The time that you were on this earth you  sir Demonstrated the definition of being courageous being a man of honor and a man who loved our Lord. Memories that I have of you where  associated with working. On your  garage  freeing up some space I recall from the couch you were telling us to be careful. Mister Willie was a kind soul. He used to give us sodas and water when we played in the streets, gave me my first pet turtle, kept a beautiful garden, and was just all around one of the best men I have ever been blessed to know. My heart goes out to Miss Griffin, his kids, and grandkids in this painful time. He will be missed. 

SFC Griffin I only met a couple of times but they were memorable what a pleasant spirit of kindness. We have another angel to watch over us as we continue our walk. Until we meet in the promise land.

There are so many beautiful memories  of  Willie Griffin but for me he was always my Uncle Shorty.  I remember him as being such a hard working man, I always admired him I would ask myself  how in the world did he build all the wood work in his home.  The funniest and most embarrassing  question would be he would always ask me ( How is your love life?) My most favorite visiting place in the world as a child was My Tia Josefina s  and Uncle Shorty's  house would never miss it for the world.

I remember him coming into the shop and I cut his hair, and I was in love with how beautiful his hair was. He still had a full head of it and he walked in and sat in my chair and told me, " now don't take too much off" and I was laughing, like I got you!❤️❤️❤️ He stayed fly!

The first time I met Pops, His grandson (who was my boyfriend at the time) hugged him and gave Pops a kiss on the cheek. And said Pops this is my girlfriend Trina. I reached out to give him a handshake and he pulled me in for a hug. Then he said wait a minute you didn't give me a kiss on the cheek. So I went to give him a kiss on the cheek and he turned his head towards me and we kissed on the lips. Lol we all laughed so hard. He was such a playful man and super funny and had the best stories to tell. I will definitely miss him. And so will my daughters his great grandchildren. Pops you will never be forgotten. Irieanna, Averianna and myself will miss you so much!

Willie my friend all though I never had the chance or honor of meeting you. I met your son (Samuel Griffin) last month, and he spoke very highly of you and everything that you have done for our nation and your family. 

I want to thank you for your dedicated service to your family, to our nation, and most importantly to our God. I wish you the best in your next journey in Gods vast kingdom. 

I only wish I had the opportunity to meet you and break bread with you.

As a child visiting Willie & my aunt Josefina, I was always intrigued in his work shop. I always wanted to see what he was doing & working on. Willie was always doing something. My last visit with him was this past summer 2019. I helped him bolt down a heavy steel grinder to a work bench in his backyard. The man was always on the move as much as he could even during his last few months. He was a big part of our family & he will always be remembered as that & more. We’re getting together to celebrate your life with your wife & family. Congratulations on your journey into Gods kingdom & we’ll see you again. Love, Pepe. ❤️
